A Note from Danielle for January ’14

Dear Friends,

January is such a great month to tuck oneself in (assuming you live in cold weather, and lucky you if not!) and recover from the holidays. Holidays can be exhausting and stressful, with or without family, and for me, everything winds down in January.

Last year, I tripped over a suitcase on Christmas morning and hurt my foot, and spent part of January, in freezing cold weather in Paris, sitting on the couch watching three seasons of Downton Abbey. I loved it! I was like a bear hibernating, watching a great TV show! I find January also a great time to write, since there’s nothing much going on, and the weather isn’t ideal anywhere.

You probably know I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions (I never keep them and hate disappointing myself), so it’s smooth sailing into the New Year.

The paperback edition of my book Until the End of Time comes out this month. It’s one of my favorites and I hope you love it too. It’s a little bit magical and very special. And if you haven’t read my book Pure Joy, about our family dogs, yet, you might enjoy that too.

I hope your year is off to a great start!

Love,
Danielle Steel
