A Letter from Danielle for May ’23
Hello Everyone,
I hope that spring is finally beginning to arrive, after a long cold winter that was beginning to seem endless!!! I travelled through New York in late March and the cold was brutal—I’ve been caught in snowstorms there in the past, as late as mid-April!!!
May Day is one of my favorite holidays. In France, everyone gives friends and loved ones a sprig of lily of the valley for good luck. And with flower vendors on every corner selling the fragrant flower, the air is full of lily of the valley.
We’re starting out the month with a brand new hardcover book, a fun book, The Wedding Planner, about the most successful and creative wedding planner in New York. She creates fabulous one-of-a-kind dream weddings for a very high-end clientele—while not wanting a wedding herself. Jilted at the altar when she younger, she has been happily single ever since. But she has built a lucrative business out of making people’s dreams come true. And the weddings she creates are spectacular, with every detail attended to. And, as weddings are, the ones she plans are full of surprises, which should keep you guessing throughout the book. I hope it strikes you as the perfect Mother’s Day gift to give to a female relative, a good friend, or a mother you admire.
I LOVE Mother’s Day—and with nine children, I have always been very spoiled, with things they’ve made me and gifts I treasure!!! And with warmer weather by then, the holiday should be a treat and hopefully a lovely day. And whether you are a mother, a daughter, a sister, or just a good friend, or have a friend you value as a mother, I hope it is a perfect day of shared joy and happy memories.
Have a beautiful month of May.
With lots of love,
Danielle
