A Letter from Danielle for April ’25

Hi Everyone,

I hope that spring is off to a good start for you. I have “book ends” for you this month, a paperback at the beginning of the month, of my book Resurrection, about a fictional pandemic several years from now where a woman accidentally discovers her husband’s affair and secret life—and second family—and the shock it is to her. As well as the people who find each other while staying at a small hotel, the changes these encounters and discoveries make in people’s lives, and the recovery they make from these life-changing events.

I particularly love the concept of Resurrection—of rising from the ashes, recovering from the blows and disappointments. Recovering, restarting, rising . . . Resurrection is about healing and starting over, renewed, refreshed, and alive again. I really love that, and it is something that we all face at some point in our lives.

And the other book I have for you at the end of the month is A Mind of Her Own, about a young woman with independent modern ideas who doesn’t want to be held back by antiquated theories about what women can do. She is bold and strong, and her grandfather is her champion and encourages her to be herself and not held back by the old ideas. It takes place around the time of WWI, and I hope it will make a great gift for Mother’s Day if you have a strong mother, aunt, or grandmother who forged ahead and helped change old time views of women into new views, which helped everyone!!!

Love,
Danielle
