Dear Friends,

November is the beginning of the holiday season, with all its bittersweet overtones—the holidays we hope to have, and wish for, but that don’t always work out quite as we plan, joy on seeing and spending time with people we love, memories of those no longer here. I hope your Thanksgiving will be beautiful this year. It is a wonderful time to embrace friends as well as family, and to reach out to those who are alone.
