A Letter from Danielle for June ’25

Hi Everyone,

I hope that June is rolling out ahead of you like a red carpet. I love the month of May, which offers the promise of spring almost everywhere, and in June, we can see summer right around the corner. The weather is warm, and summer plans are firming up or are already made, with so much to look forward to. Graduation ceremonies happen in May and June, and for people with summer vacations, exciting plans are being made—with time off in store to travel or stay at home, relax, and feel restored and refreshed after a long hard winter. The summer seems to fly by every year, and it all starts in June.

I have two new books for you in June. My hardcover, A Mother’s Love, is coming out: It’s about recovery, renewal, and forgiveness, and success after a hard childhood. Tough beginnings don’t have to mean a life gone awry. No matter how scarred we once were by a challenging or difficult youth, people recover from it, and can accomplish great things and achieve success.

And at the end of May, Joy came out in paperback. It’s about two close friends growing up through high school, who cherish each other’s friendship and support. After difficult childhoods, they marry, and the young husband enters the army in military intelligence. They share a deep love for each other, and, after physically and psychologically brutally challenging tours of duty, and the things he sees and experiences, he is irreparably damaged and forever changed. He returns home as a different person after each tour of duty, and he himself recognizes that he is no longer the same person, and strives to recover from the damage done to him. The young woman in the book struggles with her marriage, and her hope that she can find joy with her husband, or someone else. She embarks bravely on a new life in California, in the pursuit of happiness, recovery and joy in her work and daily life. The book is about joy, and picking yourself up when you’ve been beaten down by life or the people you love. She finds joy in unexpected places, and within herself.

I hope that you enjoy both books, and that you have wonderful summer plans ahead of you!!! And I hope the summer months bring you rest, renewal, new adventures, and lots of fun!!!

Love,
Danielle
