Dear Friends,

I love July—it’s hot, sunny just about everywhere, and I’m usually on vacation with my kids. I love the Fourth of July, and when my kids were little I used to give Fourth of July parties. Now I usually invite friends over for hamburgers and hot dogs, Southern fried chicken, and apple pie, especially in Paris, where it’s fun to do something different.

My book First Sight is coming out in hardcover this month and I hope you love it. It’s about a woman who owns a successful clothing company, and the challenges that go along with running a major business.

I hope you have a chance to take time off this July to relax and do something fun that you love. Have a happy Fourth!
